I'm only seeing the bulk of the emojis as text, not images. I've :rtfm:, yet found no on/off switch....

Well, they clearly work for some....now we just have to figure out what the problem is for the others.

Those with problems - can you guys see them at all? Throbert - can you see any of the ones I posted up top? Dave Emm - what can you see?

The next questions are what browser/platform etc.

Thx!

I'm using the latest build of Firefox, Mac OSX Sierra. I can see the basic emojis along the top couple of rows, after which they only appear as text, no graphic. Those baseline emojis appear in other peoples' posts as graphics, but the rest only as text there as well. Of COURSE, they show up fine in Safari, but that's not where I live, TBH. No worries; the rest of the site is running nicely, TY. If it auto-magically fixes itself for Firefox at some point, that'd be nice, but the world doesn't revolve around me and my world doesn't revolve around emojis!:puff:

Actually, I'd love an option to turn all animations off. When I have lots of stuff running, even those little matchsticks or whatever they are on the thread list page start moving in slow motion, and I just see wasted CPU cycles.

Maybe this is the best place for a shameless plug! Our now not-so-new new video at https://youtu.be/3ZRC3b4p4EI is a 40 minute adaptation of T. S. Eliot's "Prufrock" - check it out! And hopefully I'll have something new here this year. ;-)

+1 What a waste of CPU cycles and network bandwidth.
