This is a real product, but it looks like a joke!

The flap hanging down on the model's left side appears to be designed to fold up and seal. There's a zipper across the top.

Because nothing says "make the talent comfortable" like zipping her head into a giant vinyl box... with no ventilation.

This reminds me of one of my favorite snake-oil audio products, Mikro Brilliant Pebbles.

Anyone tried these? I mean the head casket iso booth thing, not the magic rocks.

this was on display at AES in NYC last October, it's no joke. Not for me, I have claustrophobia

A reason why I collect old keyboards is that I feel partly responsible for doing it, responsible for preserving history and being a custodian for these things
Plus, old gear has a story. I like that.

It looks like where you might wake up, halfway through a 70-year suspended animation trip through interstellar space.

That no-name mic really diminishes the appeal of this VO booth.

They should put a nicer mic in there, something derived from the same sound scientific analysis that says voices sound great when they're confined within a 2-cubic-foot box. Like maybe the Excelvan BM-800. It was "born to record and broadcast." A perfect match!
