dboomer
We turned down the gig because they only wanted to pay us $1000. Looking back now, probably not one of our best decisions ð
DinoMike
Santana's record wasn't out at the time and their manager, Bill Graham, was helping with Woodstock. They're lucky they got on the bill at all much less paid any money.
KuruPrionz
1. Woodstock put Santana on the map, they were one of the standouts. 2. Whoever was managing Joan Baez had negotiation bling DOWN. I've seen her in her heyday, she was awesome. Being a solo act, she got a great cut, probably made the most money total of any individual who played. All she needed to wow a crowd was an acoustic guitar. Quote It took a chunk of my life to get here and I am still not sure where "here" is.
