gg22
I'm pretty sure it's Steinway Model B
analogika
If you have it show the sample info on the keyboard itself, it will identify it as a "Stw B". https://www.norduserforum.com/download/file.php?id=11616 (image by OrpheusNY on the Nord User Forum) Quote "The Angels of Libra are in the European vanguard of the [retro soul] movement" (Bill Buckley, Soul and Jazz and Funk) The Drawbars | off jazz organ trio
cphollis
The White Grand is turning out to be something special. Having spent a lot of time listening to all of Nord's piano samples, they've not only delivered a new grand, but also apparently a new sampling technique as well. If you head over to the Nord forum, you'll see the near-universal acclaim for the White Grand as a lively, richer and more organic sound than what's come before. And it's not like the previous samples sucked or anything. Many of us have now decided it's our "go to" sample. Add in the recently released dyno rhodes, and it's like a big upgrade at no cost. When I first got my Stage 2 in April, I mentioned on the Nord Pianos thread that I had emailed Nord support about the phase issues when collapsing their grand pianos to mono. I suggested they use mid-side recording techniques instead for better results. It's far-fetched to think that they incorporated that idea based on a random suggestion, but your comment just made me think back to that email. It's more likely that they just got a really good sampleset, perhaps, as some have speculated, from a certain 3rd party provider.
