PianoMan51
Here's how I do it. Requires a computer, Bidule and a host like MainStage. In Mainstage: - Open a new channel strip for your new Highest/or/Lowest voice - Click on the Midi FX box, and select Bidule (the MIDI FX puts a plug-in between your keyboard and the VST/AU instrument) In Bidule: - You will find MIDI input and output Bidules already loaded (there is also a Mixer, but you can ignore it) - Open a new Bidule: MIDI -> Filter-> Note (dynamic) - Hook the new Note filter between the in and out Bidules - Open the Note filter Bidule and select: Highest (or Lowest) Now your new channel strip will only receive the highest/or/lowest note you play on the keyboard. AnotherScott
On some boards, you can layer your LH sound with a mono synth patch set for low-note priority. I think most workstations should be able to do this. But you'd probably have to play with specific technique to avoid false note triggers or unintended jumps, i.e. rolling your chords upwards on strike, roll downwards on release. Some keyboards (arrangers) can have a built-in intelligence for this sort of thing. Quote Maybe this is the best place for a shameless plug! Our now not-so-new new video at https://youtu.be/3ZRC3b4p4EI is a 40 minute adaptation of T. S. Eliot's "Prufrock" - check it out! And hopefully I'll have something new here this year. ;-)
Reezekeys
Here's how I do it. Requires a computer, Bidule and a host like MainStage. It doesn't require Mainstage if you use Bidule as a host! Thanks, I don't think I was aware of that Bidule module and I've been using the app for over 13 years!

Put a second Note Filter (regular) in parallel with it and turn off all notes. This will allow all other MIDI messages to reach the VST/AU.
