EscapeRocks
Sorry to hear that, Mark. It was the release of Mojave .2 that fixed all the issues I had regarding Mainstage,Gig Performer, and all associated VST/AU plug ins I was experiencing. I know it's a case of which companies will update code, but so far mine have. Arturia, Kontakt, PTeq all work perfectly now Quote David Gig Rig:Depends on the day
Mark Schmieder
I may not have been on .0 long enough to have fully sussed it out. I discovered last night that Vienna Ensemble Pro no longer loads in Digital Performer on 10.14.2 -- I think this is a known and reported problem. I haven't tried it yet in any other DAW host. It brings up the server but not the client, so is unusable. I found out when I tried to check out someone's VE Pro presets for jazz drums. I had to just go straight to Vienna Instruments Pro and build my own preset instead. Michael Wright
I just put high Sierra on a second drive, and so far so good. What"s the verdict on Mojave, is it worth another upgrade? Geoff Grace
I just put high Sierra on a second drive, and so far so good. What"s the verdict on Mojave, is it worth another upgrade? I've read reports that Logic runs much more efficiently on Mojave. I'm getting ready to take the plunge myself now that Pro Tools finally supports it. Michael Wright
Mojave requires me to upgrade the graphics card. I'll have to think on that. EscapeRocks
For those keeping score at the game: I finally updated my Mainstage/GigPerformer MBP to Mojave a few weeks ago. It also has the very latest Mainstage, GigPerformer, and Logic versions. No issues at all. 2012 MBP 2.5ghz 16gb ram 2-500MB SSD (1 TB space) NI/Kontakt, Pianoteq, Arturia all run just fine. MalH
Just updated my main audio desktop hackintosh without issues. Logic and and all VIs running great. I almost managed to upgrade my 10-year-old hackintosh server. Unfortunately I haven't found a working solution to get metal running on the old NVidia GPU.
