Rest in Peace Doctor John...a New Orleans legend. Much too young at 77. Such a Night is one of my favorite tunes...

Take care, Larryz

Damn! With Leah Chase’s passing on June 1, that’s two NOLA icons in just a few days.

I saw many of his performances on television-he
never seemed to notice. Every performance was so
perfect. He could have been in front of family, 10,000 people
or on Mars. Too soon gone.

Same old surprises, brand new cliches-

According to my family sources in NOLA, his Second Lines & other impromptu celebrations of his life were pretty much inescapable.
