Probably just a baby step.

 

Get a simpler product, like a fairly basic VA synth, to market first, work out bugs and whatever, then gradually progress towards the considerably more complicated softsynths - like Omnisphere

Steinberg also went half-price on updates from previous editions, so I went from Cubase 9.5 to 10 last night for $49, even though I still rarely use it (DP is my main DAW, then Logic for stuff that is captive to that app).

 

I was hoping that Dorico would also be on sale, but the celebration seems specific just to the anniversary of Cubase.

MFB Synth 8

Only a preliminary prototype, but this sounds really good to me. 8-voice poly, three VCOs with continuosly variable waves, three envelopes, two LFOs, two (different) filters per voice with series or parallel, digital effects, sequencer, fully multitmbral.

I like the sound of the latest MFB instruments. This sounds like a good competition for the Peak module.
