Synthoid
We've recently been talking about the Yamaha CS-80--which is considered to be a behemoth--but there are other large synths out there which come to mind. I'm not talking modulars now, just "regular" synthesizers. Here are a few that are both recent and vintage: The Schmidt http://www.synthtopia.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/schmidt-analog-synthesizer-546x342.jpg Yamaha DX-1 http://www.vintagesynth.com/sites/default/files/2017-05/dx1.jpg Oberheim Matrix 12 Quote When an eel hits your eye like a big pizza pie, that's a Moray. David Emm
I lean towards the Oberheim 8-Voice (got to play one with the programmer working!) and the Chroma for sheer vintage boutique awesomeness. My cheap-shot vote for #1 has to be the pipe organ, though. Its a steampunk additive synth that requires its own entire building and effectively banishes any thought of cartage issues.
