Josh Paxton
I'll be getting it the day it's out. I had many of those on bootlegs once upon a time, but hearing them without multiple generations of tape hiss will be a whole new experience. J. Dan
So maybe a deeper question: during his lifetime he never released this material....so SHOULD it be released now? Quote Dan Acoustic/Electric stringed instruments ranging from 4 to 230 strings, hammered, picked, fingered, slapped, and plucked. Analog and Digital Electronic instruments, reeds, and throat/mouth. Josh Paxton
SHOULD it be released now? Possibly a question worth pondering for others, but as for me, I consider it not my call and not my concern. Heck, I might even listen to it through Behringer gear!

George88
I look forward to hearing these tracks. To me, Prince is the greatest pop artist of my generation and on the Mt. Rushmore of greatest of all time. Should/ought/must...thats a messy question.

Synthaholic
So maybe a deeper question: during his lifetime he never released this material....so SHOULD it be) Maybe he had provisions in his will? My understanding is that he didnt have a will. MotiDave
If he didnt burn it, smash it, bleachbit it - he wanted it to get out. (Its a theory) Quote The baiting I do is purely for entertainment value. Please feel free to ignore it.
montunoman
If he didnt burn it, smash it, bleachbit it - he wanted it to get out. (Its a theory) Probably. I know I have some recording of myself that would never want anyone to hear, but of course Im no Prince I would assume hed be happy the his legacy continues, and he can continue to provide for his heirs. bfields
Great musicians don't always make the best decisions about what to do with their music, in my opinion. I'm thinking about this as I just came back from watching "Amazing Grace", which Aretha Franklin didn't want distributed.
Mark Schmieder
I never noticed that he wrote "Manic Monday". He could write and play in any style. One of a kind talent. And he was always striving to get better and to learn and master new instruments. That is not a complete list of stuff he gave away, for sure, but I guess it's the ones he first did demos for? Probably the others he produced the artist's album and didn't bother doing a guide track first?
