OT: Trying to Recall Old Song from the 70's

Recommended Posts

Songs circulate around in your mind, and they come and go. I vaguely remember an amusing tune back in the 70's that had unusual lyrics. Something about eating crayfish and this short misconstrued snippet that my friend sang:

"Pick guitar, spill-proof jar..."

It's not much to go on, but does anyone have a clue what song it was?

Hm... Google search didn't find anything, but Amazon will sell spill-proof jars in which to keep your crawfish...

There are lots of covers of that song. It was written & released in 1952 by Hank Williams. I have played it for my father who has Alzheimer's. He has almost no short term memory but still remembers old songs from his youth.

The Blue Ridge Rangers (AKA John Fogerty) had a hit with "Jambalaya" in 1973.
