I am not really complaining { OH RLLY ?)

Some days, you just have to grind thru it, get over it, get on with it. Put it behind you.
Here is my list:

- Taxes. I filed them. Paid them. Ouch. where does the money go ? A big black hole ?
The so called Tax Simplification Act is abominable.

- installed Mojave on my 6 yr old Mac Mini. Sort of forced into it. Mac Mini hates
Mojave. My advice- if your mac is old like mine, Do NOT update. Unless you are forced

- drank spoiled milk this morning. The exp or sell date was March 16. WTF %$#$%

Per my OT, Complaining is Futile.

You are welcome to post similar. I know you are not complaining, its cool wink

Just bought a couple boxes of tomatoes. As I was dumping them into a ceramic bowl, I noticed a few from the center of one box were starting to fuzz.

Mom once found something leafy floating in the bottom of the bottle of Snapple she was drinking from.

Nothing in the world is perfect
Grin and bear it silently or yell into my ear
Complaints, it's my department
Complaints, it's my department
Everything you wear's too tight and clashes with the candlelight
Just give it back, no questions asked

Nothing in the world is perfect
Grin and bear it silently or yell into my ear
Complaints, stereophonic
Complaints, it's ironic
How they chatter, how they bore us like some avant- gardish chours
Just give it back, no questions asked

I'll dive off the mezzanine if one more points at crooked seams
A sign of shoddy workmanship, of Asiatic hands that slipped
Just give it back, no questions asked

Nothing in the world is perfect
Grin and bear it silently or yell into my ear
Complaints, there's to many hours
Complaints, the bosses cower
Two weeks free from all complaining, it was due to our complaining
Take her to Spain, hear her complain

Now she says she is expecting
That's my fault for not protecting
Her from all the risks of passion
She's complining, she's old-fashioned
Just give it back, no questions asked

Complaints, it's my department bang

Stuff happens. Sorry bout that. But don't look back. Just be glad to be alive.
Complaining about there's no money and life sucks and blah blah blah... Who knows what COULD happen instead of what DID and WILL? Just thinking about the outcome CHANGES the outcome.

Although you won't correct the problem you're complaining about BY complaining, it's OK to gripe if it prevents you from letting it collect and boil and then finally releasing it in the form of road rage, spousal abuse, child abuse, assault and battery or some such mischief. wink

And since I've always been employed in jobs where a tax withholding was always deducted from my weekly wages, There were very FEW times I ever had to pay! And surely by now, you HAVE to know in this country, the term "tax simplification" is an oxymoron! wink

Now lately I have plenty of occasions where even the simplest of actions result in small, annoying catastrophes. I usually just look upward and tell God to cut the crap. Depending on what your beliefs are, I may or may not pay big time for it later, but I still think it's better than taking it out on some innocent inanimate object, which too, if damaged enough might be very costly to repair or replace. wink

As we enter ever deeper into the realm of VR & Erwin's Cat's Pair O' Ducks, our choices do actually expand & thus our dilemma(s).
Where will it all end ?
Here ?

Thats the Tony Robbins approach. We can will things to happen. Power of the mind, etc.

I used that technique to take a 2 hour nap ! wink

My opinion-I think a good temper tantrum-not typing one, I mean shouting and smashing stuff-is healthy. Not every day but, when you get to a boiling point. I even think it could turn into a business idea. Safety goggles, a baseball bat, and a sealed room full of dishes. Pay at the door. Smash the crap out of them. In case of the occasional problem-the room gets unsealed after you return the bat.

Nah, I don't think screaming and smashing stuff IS healthy. And like I implied, can get costly( believe me, I speak from experience! wink ). I've taken the track of, for example, whenever someone asks, "How's it going?" I reply, "Eh. Can't complain." and quickly add: "I could, but there's no money in it and it's never helped before so I don't. " wink

If smashing material objects keeps one from smashing living creatures, that's a good thing.

Of course, it's all a matter of one person's perspective(or opinion) --- but....

DEVO always struck me as displaying that the band's members were also the band's BIGGEST FANS. freak And that they laughed all the way to the bank over the JOKE they got away with pulling on the American music biz! wink

The biggest joke on the music industry was Johnny, Sid & the boys...or maybe K-Pop...but all that falls into the area of what's called missing the point...not that I'm complaining b/c when a problem comes along, gotsta whip it !

A while back, I figured out that when most people asked me "How's it going?", they really didn't want to know.

My replies got a lot shorter after that, which seemed to save everybody a lot of time.

Fortunately(?), social media provides an outlet for folks to air their gripes and get some relief without paying exorbitant fees to a shrink.

@ d--

What I liked about the "Whip It" video was the laugh it gave me because those silly hats they wore looked JUST LIKE the LAMPSHADES on a couple of lamps my GRANDMA used to have in her house when I was just a tyke(in the late '50's) wink laugh
