Sometimes I can get a Rhodes and a Wurli confused (particularly if there are a lot of effects applied), but Iím pretty sure the descending chords at 1:03 are a Wurlitzer. I think the wonderful bottom end is also a low note hit hard on a Wurli.

A reason why I collect old keyboards is that I feel partly responsible for doing it, responsible for preserving history and being a custodian for these things
Plus, old gear has a story. I like that.

The credits for the album are pretty fascinating.

Well, I guess I got that one wrong! idk

When I listen to it I don't hear the tines of a Rhodes, but I trust you guys, as you've no doubt played the real instruments. I've only played a 73 suitcase once (and it was a beater), and I once played a student-grade Wurlitzer. The rest of my experience has been digital.

I looked at the credits on Wikipedia (a long list no doubt), but that particular track is only credited to "keyboards". Other tracks are specifically credited with a Rhodes.

A ROMpler is just a polyphonic turntable.

That's a pretty typical late-70's early 80's thin Rhodes (Dyno - an after-market mod) sound. Not thinking its an actual Dyno Rhodes, but they're definitely going for the Dyno sound. Personally, I prefer the warmer, darker Rhodes sounds of the earlier 70's, but I'm an old, crusty mfer....
