This is my musical tribute to Dr Martin Luther King,

a great American and a prophet.

We can find leadership and inspiration in his

words and actions. His words ring true today.

I have added my original music to amplify parts of

his inspiring I Have a Dream speech.

Why fit in, when you were born to stand out ?

Thank you, MMM !

With originals, I like to start with blank canvas, experiment

with chords, transitions, etc.

Voice overs are tricky. The MLK 1963 speech/audio is def low fi,

lots of crowd noise, bad mic, etc etc.

Desert Heat ( Hot as Hell)

Desert Heat is a metal rock song portraying adversity.

This is my instrumental original featuring guitars on the

Kronos.

Adversity takes many forms; extreme desert heat, impossible

cold weather, the unexpected, any challenge to our health

and survival.

Happy Wife Happy Life

My original instrumental portrays the wisdom of this expression and the winding road couples experience.

Happy Wife, Happy Life might be of Oriental origin, since it resembles what might be found in a fortune cookie.

The instrumental[100% Kronos] might be defined as middle of the road/easy listening with a strong back beat. Its a tribute to all couples.

My singer friend bought a house with a ridiculous kitchen tile color pattern, so we decided to put on matching attire and record a few videos ;)

Smooth Rhodes playing, man. Also, the blue suit with matching tinted glasses is a nice touch!

My wife requested a 'nice piano ' original. Happy Wife Happy Life

was the result.

With that, I also considered Valentines Day and relationships.

Everything Ship evolved from that grey matter upstairs :)

I am biased, but I think these 2 originals play nicely in succession.

Part of it is the significant change in tempo and style:

My new project, The Drawbars.

Gear is a Wurlitzer 200A through an old Fender spring into vintage AC30 and a Hammond M3 with an RE-201 Space Echo into a 760.

The band had existed for about four weeks at this point.

Smooth Rhodes playing, man.

Rhodes and the playing of it does sound great. Really like your pedal selection, also.

Thanks! I love the pedals, too. They work for set and forget but you can coax a million tones out of them when you twist the knobs while playing.

We did a second one!

Anyways heres my easy listening / Latin rendition of The Way You Look Tonight featuring my brother in law Manuel Casteñeda on Sax, and yours truly on vocals and the Ketron Audya keyboard, LH triggering the auto accompaniment and Strings pad, RH piano and guitar sounds.
