In my evil plan* to crowd everybody off the stage and draw attention away from the narcissist personality guitar player (read "Look at me I'm an attention whore!"), I am seeking input for a high quality stage keyboard amp system that can deliver in 5.1 surround at 150 dB SPL A-weighted for my stage monitor (yes that's louder than a Concorde jet). This guarantees that I will never again be mixed way down low in the PA. The system must fit in my Volkswagon Bug, load/unload itself from the car, set up in two minutes, and cost under $30 (I need the other $20 for gas for the car). It must demolish concrete walls and topple full stack Marshall amps at the press of low C# of my piano preset. If anyone asks me to turn it down I will respond "but that's MY SOUND".

*parody thread warning. Laugh, it's HUMOUR!

Might need a reverse polarity adapter cable with that.

Good one MC. But it is a well known fact that Guitar players are deaf. wink

Question: Would 150 db amp be loud enough? Be sure to point it directly at that guitar player and see how he likes it.

Happy Holidays!

Better still: set the speaker in front of the keys pointing towards the guitarist. Explain that this is necessary "to get the proper tone I want to hear".

How far do you want to go?

at 135 dB you experience a slight cooling sensation from the air
at 140 dB your throat and vocal chords start to vibrate
at 142 dB your chest starts to pound intensely
at 148 dB the vibration because uncomfortable and even painful
at 150 dB you experience the overwhelming sensation of being compressed as if underwater
at 155 dB the compression and expansion from vibration is felt to the core
at 158 dB the vibration is violent, and nausea becomes intense
at 190 dB eardrums rupture 50% of the time
at 198 dB human death from sound (shock wave) alone

You don't need 5.1, you need a 3 way stereo crossover, then...

What ever the bass player is using, buy two and use for the bottom. What ever the guitarist is using, buy two and use for the mids, then what ever the PA uses for horns, buy two...

Stack up a few of These , crank the resonance (emphasis) on the filter of your Model D, and sweep the frequency until you find the brown note.

It’s all I had until my first check where I bought a pair of TOAs.

Supposedly Dickie Petersen from Blue Cheer used a pair of these and blew one up in St.Louis. Fast Eddies on Broadway picked it up and replaced the clip on and the mid range tweet.
Haven’t got a clue why a Bass player used Acoustic and Moog combined, but it had to be loud.
