Just wondering if anybody out there has used any of the automatic tunerís that fit over the headstock keys. Any thoughts on a good on stage unit that wonít break the bank

I would suggest you post this question in the "Guitar Forum" as you are apt to get a lot more answers in there.

I've had some good ones, and some "eh" ones.

Snarks are good and accurate, as best as I can tell; but yes,
they are big and noticeable.

Fishman had what I thought was the best ... and it got lost at a gig.

Fender & Planet Waves/D'Addario made other good ones.

As to bad ones... one that I got "free" from Reverb was pretty lame (though it claims to be a guitar/cello/violin/ukulele tuner).
The micro ones from Planet Waves/D'Addario were tough to read.
