Anyone come across (or even better, using) this drawbar kit? Svengled it, but all I can find is a pic, and the price ($129 in kit form, $179 assembled).

Trying to find if it is any good, how it attaches and connects etc. I am wondering how it would go with a Mojo 61.

TIA

This is supposed to be special designed for VB3:

I think it is based on Crumar Drawbar Controller D9U

It can't split upper/lower C/V as there is no independent on/off for upper/lower.

Michael Westbrooks just purchased and uses the D9U kit as a 2nd set of drawbars for his Mojo61.

Sorry Sven, it doesn't work like that. Your name is now generic, like "Hoover" for vacuum cleaner, or "Thermos" for vacuum flask.

You should try to embrace it. At the very least, you should get used to it smile

SSM, if you can get to this video you can see the drawbars sitting on top of his Mojo. Check around the 1:20 mark.

Iíve just ordered one as itís reduced to 99 Euro for the kit - Black Friday and all that. Itís been shipped and arriving Wednesday. Iím going to use it with the Gemini. Being able to switch between Upper and Lower will be useful. I use it with my Nord E5D but it isnít ideal as you can only control the upper drawbars. The Nord sends the same CC numbers for Upper and Lower Part smirk

Hey Guido! If you are reading this how do you set the MIDI channel or is it in OMNI mode or something. Iíve looked through the code and donít see the Channel variable being set to a value.

D9U arrived - less than 2 hours putting it together (you need to be good at soldering though!). Loaded Arduino on my Mac and uploaded the code. Not too sure what I was doing but it all works. This is a great addition to the Gemini as I now have real drawbars and I can control Upper and Lower manuals. The switch to select UP/LOW is a little hard to get at as it's around the back and a small tactile switch but does the job.

It's a solid unit, low profile, quite heavy and sits nicely on the left of my SL61 controller. One small USB cable connects to the Gemini USB socket and that delivers power and receives MIDI. Very neat!

Same with the Voce midi drawbars, the main/aux switch is on the back of the unit. I can understand Voce making the mistake of this (too hard to get to playing live) but that was 25 years ago; 25 years later I would have suspected that this switch would be in a more convenient location. SMH......

I might fit a 1/4Ē jack socket and use a foot switch. Fairly simple mod, hands free and not much extra to carry around. BTW did you see that 1.3 is out and the Mellotron expansion too?
