I'm sure a lot of you know about Yamaha synth forum, so this is just for the people who don't. it's a great site where you can get answers to your questions(almost immediately) from experts for Yamaha keyboards. they even have a category for the new MODX line...Ö..Larry

That's been there for awhile. I don't think it get's much traffic. Once in awhile I used to go to the S80/S90 site or whatever it was called. KC is one of the few forums left that get's a lot of traffic.

Unfortunately, Motifator has chosen not to support Montage/MODX. Another resource is yamahamusicians.com though the only place you'll find actual Yamaha reps these days is yamahasynth.com

Maybe this is the best place for a shameless plug! Our new video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ZRC3b4p4EI is a 40 minute adaptation of T. S. Eliot's "Prufrock" - check it out!

Did BadMister end up there? He was always a wealth of useful information on Motifator.

I think Yamahasynth drove/forced that decision by Motivator? One of Mís long time leading lights of information is prominent here whenever a Yamaha question gets posted in KC.

I wish Yammy would improve their forum. From a SW/IT perspective, it leaves some to be desired. But Phil is over there, along with newer Jason - to answer tech questions. Itís helpful for me.

Bad Mister answered a few of my questions some years back. He was very helpful and patient. In general, Yamaha has been excellent providing after the sale support. Their OS on the Motif system required a lot of menu diving, and the ES8's mono screen was lame. The newer, larger screens are a big improvement.

I just read that explanation. I didn't know that the folks at Motifator had been involved in the design of the UI for the Motif series. Oops! I used to spend a fair amount of time on Motifator bitching about how awful the UI was. I'm surprised I wasn't banninated.
