I'm happy to share my brand new single with y'all

Really curious about your impressions!

W.

H DaBigW

I liked this-brings back some old school fusion vibes for me, I can never get enough of that. Would have been nice to hear a bit of improvisation on this arrangement from the guitar, but that`s not a complaint. It`s tight and well thought out.

Same old surprises, brand new cliches-

I can guess what you might think- WTH is this keyboard guy doing here ?

Sahara is my strongest original. No surprise- the guitar tracks (played on Korg Kronos) are very important. Yes, I know, a real guitar and a real guitarist would be mucho better.

But I think I can get by as is. Kronos is somewhat average in FX and below average on guitars. So I did my best with what I had.

Most of my 40 originals on SC feature E guitar parts played on keys. Don't yell about that - I wish I had a real guitarist for my originals.

Welcome your comments ! Thanks

Greg C Nice song I really dig the imagery of just endless sand, reminded me of an 80s movie set in the Sahara. Nice work keep it up.

Thank you for listening ! I hope to create more of this genre.

I might have come close with my latest, Heart of Steel ( no guitar parts on this]:

One man band on Kronos, home studio recording. "Heart of Steel " is my 41st original on SoundCloud:

This is my original inspired by everyone with a big heart or a great heart,

who passionately give it their all every day.

The song is a driving rock techno dedication with some quotes about

having heart, facing the odds and believing in yourself.

Listen to your heart !

I don't know Iron Maiden, as I focus my time on original songs.

I like the aggressive transitions and the soaring lead guitar work.

The lead guitar tone was also strong. Good work , Lok !

FYI, I use to own a Pontiac Bonneville back in the 70's.

Also had a Firebird.

Survivors and Heroes

This is my tribute song about the devastating California wildfires

and its tragic impact on several thousand people.

The self sacrifice of numerous firefighters, humanitarian organizations

and volunteers is beyond words.

The world around us is unpredictable. We balance each day with the practical and our faith. And adapt as best we can. But we cannot predict the outcome and tomorrow.

I am the composer/performer of this original jazz/funk instrumental that was

inspired by the uncertainty.

All music tracks of the song are created and performed on the Korg Kronos keyboard.

The distinctive sax is a 3rd party keyboard sample created by the

talented Grzegorz Marciak of Sounds of Planet.

Thank you for listening !

Desert Heat( Hot as Hell) is a metal rock song portraying adversity.

This is my instrumental original featuring guitars on the

Kronos.

Adversity takes many forms; extreme desert heat, impossible

cold weather, the unexpected, any challenge to our health

and survival.

Happy Wife Happy Life

My original instrumental portrays the wisdom of this expression and the winding road couples experience.

Happy Wife, Happy Life might be of some origin, since it resembles what might be found in a fortune cookie.

The instrumental[100% Kronos] might be defined as middle of the road/easy listening with a strong back beat. Its a tribute to all couples.

Everything Ship is a term for the ultimate relationship.

My rock techno song portrays this never ending life experience that many dream of or already have.

For the perfect listening experience, stereo speakers or headphones are best.

Several Kronos instruments I used have strong stereo panning effects.

Hey, A Cloud, I missed your 1st appearance & will check those vids shortly.

Meanwhile we're always glad to have new members !

---------------------------------------

Just watched

More interesting than yer PickTrick [TM ? :D]

is the L hand technique you exhibit @ 0:550~1:00

-----------------------------------------------

Pivoting the wrist while planted on the bridge is not uncommon

...but watching that one gave me a clue as to why I couldn't quite catch the events in the 1st vid----there's a disorienting audio/visual lag to your videos that makes it a bit tricky trying to catch details.

On the other hand (so to speak :D ) the illustration of your techniques by pantomime makes them universally understandable w/out the necessity of lang translations.

Great idea !
