Here's a clip from a national radio gig we did last week. If find radio gigs particularly stressful, as it's like a studio recording session with just 1 take. It's not my favourite song of the band, but this one is picked up and has some airplay. Hope you like it.

seems like it would be a radio friendly song. The recording sounded very good, except I could not hear her Telecaster at all.

Sounded great Rudy, enjoyed it very much. Your band just transported me back to the early to mid 1980's!

Good ear Dave! She doesn’t play guitar in this song I believe. So I think it was there for the look:)

Thanks for the responses!

Sounds great! I'm not going to share my on air radio experience because channels were distorting an there was feedback (in a studio on the radio.....how does that happen?!?!?)

That sounds slick! Great tune. Wouldn't be out of place in an episode of Stranger Things, either.

Thanks!

We hire one of the best sound engineers of the Netherlands for these type of gigs (and important live shows). He does a lot of big radio shows and knows most of the studio’s. This way we minimize the chance of failure on these gigs. Of course you also pay something for these kind of guys. The singer is really determined to make these things work, so she really invests!

I really like this song. I listened to the rest of the album as well (on Spotify) and it's not bad at all. It's a pity she hasn't had much exposure in Belgium yet.

Did you play on the album recording as well?

Hey Rudy, goed bezig! smile

How do you divide the keyboard work in this band with the other player? Is he doing mostly bass?

Unfortunately not. All synths are played/programmed by the producer. Her workflow is that she writes and record her songs with 2 producers. When they are finished the are transferred to the band and we make live versions of it.

Thanks Moritz! He is doing only bass parts. He also has control over some samples and the backing tracks. (he sometimes plays some keyboard parts when I'm not there).
