Eagles on Pearl Harbor day, G'n'R the day after. I think we will go to see the Eagles. We hardly ever get stadium acts here. Just checked tkt prices, we are not going to see G'n'R. Good Eagles tkts are cheaper than the worst G'n'R tkts.

The Eagles are master musical craftsmen surfergirl. They are spotless in their performances. I also like Guns and Roses a big bunch. Enjoy the show....... If I had to pick only one of those two bands to go see, it would be the Eagles. Good choice.
With the Eagles, excepting the late Glenn Frey, you'll be hearing the band whose records you've heard for decades. With Guns & Roses you get Axl Rose & a group of sidemen.

Sorta but I think Slash has been playing w/him/them recently
The Not in This Lifetime... Tour is an ongoing concert tour by hard rock band Guns N' Roses. It features classic lineup members Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan, marking the first time since the Use Your Illusion Tour in 1993 that the three performed together.
from <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Not_in_This_Lifetime..._Tour> After the previous tour in 2014, guitarists DJ Ashba & Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal, bassist Tommy Stinson and keyboardist Chris Pitman left Guns N' Roses, leaving the band with several open spots. Former members Slash and McKagan rejoined the band and Melissa Reese joined as keyboardist. The group embarked on the world tour that spanned several continents, with 159 shows performed or scheduled so far. The group welcomed former drummer Steven Adler to the stage for several shows as a guest spot, the first time he had played with the group since 1990. The tour has been a financial success, grossing over $480.9 million to date, making it the fourth-highest-grossing concert tour of all time. The tour was 2016's highest-earning per-city global concert tour as well as the fourth-highest-grossing overall that year. In 2017 the tour ranked as the second highest grossing worldwide tour...
Still, I'd go w/Don & the boyeez.....even if they're still cold -shouldering Bernie Leadon..."Sweet Child O' Mine" is cool but when ya got GVF, why bother ?!
I really don't give a damn who it it is, this is my first major concert ever. We are not Los Angeles or New York. The Last rock concert at Aloha stadium was 2006, before that 1998. We take what we can get and appreciate bands that are willing to come here. So I will enjoy the Eagles no matter what the lineup. It may 20 years before I get another concert at Aloha stadium. We don't know when GVF is coming back and when they do I will first in line. I doubt they will play the stadium when they do

I saw so many bands in so many different venues back in the day, I could not even begin to recall my very first one. I can tell you this, I performed many times in many places singing a-Capella with The Soundmasters before I ever attended a major concert (I sang in the harmony section as baritone).
To name a few during those hippy years
Moody Blues James Gang ZZTop Santana Roy Buchanan West, Bruce, and Lang Mountain Grand Funk Railroad Neil Young and Crazy Horse Derek and The Domino's Chicago Young-bloods Original Woodstock Concert Richie Havens Ten Years After The Manhattans Sonny Terry and Brownie McGhee
And a host of others I can't recall at the moment.

Nice list!
I’ve gotten to see a few good ones- and one that was worthy of Spinal Tap- over my somewhat fewer years on Earth, but I don’t think I’ll hijack this thread over my reminiscing.
(Cue theme music as I compose a new thread...)

Glen Frey's son is in the band, as well as Vince Gill, it has to be an awesome event with that lineup.

That would be the main reason, although Henley's maintained some slight relevance. (& as mentioned before, they could include Bernie Leadon, who I think wiped the floor compared to their later guitarists). My fingers only count Zak Starkey & Dweezil Z.

I've never actually heard him play, that I'm aware of. I'll have to fix that, won't I ? I do note that he doesn't currently seem to be creating his own music but touring as JB's Led Zep Experience (or Evening). <http://www.jasonbonham.net>
Wherein JB demonstrates a few licks from other drummers.
In which Bonham the Younger exhibits an admirable sense of restraint & distinguishes himself w/a splash cymbal that stretches just the right length of time to fit the meter.

Jason Bonham
There too, is JAKOB DYLAN.
His tenure with The Wallflowers did produce some nice stuff. Whitefang

Let's not push it...next somebody'll be pulling out Julian & Sean Lennon & then what'll stop the flood ? Deacon Frey?
There's a diff between being able to play music & being really skilled or talented like Dweezil Z. I really don't mean to pile on someone just b/c they had a famous parent but if y'wanna plow yer own road y'gotta, uh, plow yer own road.
Of these 2 bands I think I'd rather see George Clinton again. Too bad he's not winding up his retirement tour in Hawaii---that would be a concert to curl SGirl's hair !
