The KC search doesn't work that well and there are a lot of threads started where replies are usually friendly (if not sarcastic laugh ) links to answers that already exist.

Maybe it's time to build a FAQ.

How about submissions? Please include link(s) to the KC thread(s).

If there's enough of these, it could be worthy of a sticky.

How about topics like shielding the sun from a display, which Sven had to point out multiple threads?

Balancing patch volumes in a band?

Just a couple where questions get repeated over and over, which is happening more frequently.

FAQ topics discussing techniques and common problems would be useful, they are timeless. I'd exclude discussions around specific brands of gear or market value for obvious reasons.

If the search function ain't gettin' it (and often it doesn't), there's nothing wrong with posting links to existing threads on the subject, if you're so inclined, right? To me, this doesn't have to be delivered with a certain level of snark, though, as if the preface "you lazy dumb a*s" is not spoken, but VERY solidly implied. Really, if you don't want to help out, then don't. At the end of the day, it's an internet forum, a place for the exchange of info. Sometimes I feel like if someone posts a question that's been addressed before they are kind of belittled for asking it, and I'm not naming names, but I think that's just silly. sorry if I'm missing something important here, that's just how I feel....

Again - what's wrong with posting something like that in the existing Key Threads sticky?

I hit this link over and over. I felt like I was in Groundhog Day.
