RIP. I only recently learned he was alive... I thought it had been reported that he'd died a few years ago.
Me too. He had a rough life after Mac. Mental illness, substance abuse, homelessness. It's somewhat miraculous he even lived to 68. His lyricism made for my favorite period in the evolution of Fleetwood Mac. The combination of three guitars, deadly in most cases, made what is in my opinion, their best ever album, "Then Play On".
RIP Danny, I was an admirer of Fleetwood Mac from the Peter Green days up until Stevie Nicks and Lindsay Buckingham joined, after those two joined I became a big time admirer. Always a great band but with those two added, it went from being great to super-stardom.
