I just went through this problem again with a new SL88 Studio that I bought. I also have a SL88 Grand, so that's why I say "again".
I thought I'd put it out here since I couldn't find the issue discussed anywhere and will show the fix.
The problem is that the damper pedal changes programs as well as sustains the keys played.
I think it's the firmware update v1.6 that causes the issue, but not sure. I didn't see anywhere in the SL Editor that would affect it.

The way to fix it is in the Global Settings, the default setting for "Programs +/-" is 999. Change it to OFF. Again, I think the firmware v1.6 did this, because before I installed it, the damper pedal didn't do this.
Have a nice day! smile Rick

I had the Grand for a minute, but didn't care for the action.

I currently have an Acuna 88 that also uses the TP100/LR used in the Studio, but with two sensors versus three.

How are you liking the feel of the SL88 Studio so far?

I like it, but only after personalizing the keybed/velocity settings. Side by side, the Grand beats the Studio for feel, imo. Studio beats Grand for weight, though.

Have you had issues with the Grand's wood action reacting poorly to temperature / humidity changes? I had a Numa Nero a long time ago, and the action would get sluggish when it was too hot.

Not at all. I has never left my living room, though. Can't imagine why. wink
It does seem to have loosened up a lot the last 8 months though. The Studio felt much stiffer out of the box today.

How long does the firmware upgrade take? I have an SL88 Studio and am following the instructions from the Studiologic site verbatim (but I see MIDI2 IN and OUT versus just "PORT 2"). Progress meter is sitting at 0% forever.

I haven't yet otherwise used the SL Editor. I wonder if I need to connect to the primary MIDI port first?

IIRC that seemed to be happening with my update but it only took a second before I realized it was done (there is no "ta da"). You might want to check your version now.

BTW I'm using the SLP-3 with no issues.

But it's all right now, in fact I've got GAS.

Gigged with my SL88 Studio this weekend midi'd to my Nord Stage 2 SW73. The SL was great to play and the Nord pianos are always very good. I wish they would update the organ in the Stage 2 but I guess that train has left the station...........
