That's younger than my kids. That IS tragic, even though I'm not familiar with the band and their music, it really doesn't matter.

A brother crossed the river, and it's bad news.

Indeed, rest easy.

Just logged in to post a notice-I`m not sure what happened yet, but it looks like injuries from a fall.
For anyone who has heard Babymetal, Fujioka-san did what people in Japan often do-take a concept and raise the bar into the stratosphere. Excellent electric player. There`s a Twitter video with him playing ukelele, can`t post it here unfortunately.

Sorry to see this. 36, man, that's just wrong. Rest In Peace, friend.

Well here`s one-last Saturday I happened to be in the area of guitar street, and dropped in on my favorite shop. It`s where I bought my main electric. I saw a poster stand for Babymetal, and assummed it was some kind of memorial to Fujioka-san. I got into a chat with one of the sales guys, and it turned out to be a poster of the other guitarist in the band, Takayoshi Ohmura. His signature model was on display-now this is not at all to derail the thread. But both players are/were graduates of MI in Osaka, and both of them played nonstandard guitars. Fujioka-san preferred seven strings. Ohmura-san is one of the small group of artists besides Yingwie J. who plays a scalloped fretboard. Visuals here:

`Harf scalloped`-only in Japan...

It`s unlikely you would end up paying that much-my main electric is similarly priced but, by timing it around the new year I was able to get it for about 40% of that-and ordered from the factory, not off the shelf. Actually I don`t recall the selling price at the shop but, I`ll need a set of replacement strings soon-good excuse to go back and have a look.
