Larryz
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOHN McVIE! Fleetwood Mac is one of my favorite bands and I saw them live here in Sacramento, CA after they came off of their Canadian tour about a year or two ago...what a great show! whitefang
One of my favorites too although I must say I rather preferred the first incarnation. The "reload" only produced a couple/few songs I liked. But sure, a good band through the many years. Whitefang Quote I started out with NOTHING...and I still have most of it left! Larryz
I like them best around '76 and '77...but a lot of their stuff is good in earlier and later years. Lindsey Buckingham is one great guitarist in my book... Quote Take care, Larryz

jimmac
I look at these almost every day but most are folks I do not know about or have never followed. I wish all a great birthday and glad they are part of the music world. I need to comment more often. I was on vacation about 3 weeks but back to normal now. jimmac
I did hear Dela Reese died and although I doubt she was a guitar player she was well know as a singer back in the day. I missed if you guys noted it. Jim
whitefang
It wasn't noted here, but last time I noted a death of someone famous who wasn't either a guitarist or a "rock" celebrity I got a lot of flack from a few people. Larryz
It's your thread Fang, but I would keep the RIP threads separate from the BD threads. The RIP's get into a little more detail as is respectful and historical. BD's come around every 365 days so we hit the same artists over and over again. Then we could have a 3rd category for acknowledging the RIP BD's on guys and gals like Elvis, Jimi, SRV, Django, Dela, Lester, etc. (guitarist or not). Just a thought... whitefang
And a good one that I'll consider. But to continue....
