This one caught my eye in an otherwise-boring AMS catalogue today:

It's just enough more in price than my Gretsch to be a mid-range vs. budget instrument, and is especially distinguished by having individually intonateable strings at the bridge.

I'm going to listen to some YouTube demos tonight, as I'm curious.

I like the 3-tone burst the best, followed by the metallic alpine finish. Natural is OK as well. Not black though.

Overall, I'm pretty happy with my Gretsch and am glad I bought it right before they changed it to have a narrower neck and different scale length.

The Reverend looks like it might be aiming more for the Rickenbacker 12-string design and sound -- although the P-90 pick-ups might make this a unique entry amongst all 12-strings.

They had prototypes on tour with- as I recall- the guy from The Decemberists in 2015. The production model hit the market in early 2016. And it’s been on my G.A.S. list ever since.

Here’s my favorite demo:

I have yet to hear a single demo (of hundreds that I've listened to) by Wildwood Guitars that didn't make me hate the instrument being demoed (including ones I own and love). Just goes to show we all have different ears. Everything they do sounds harsh and cold to me.

The demo I linked earlier, definitely makes it clear this is a unique 12-string model that sounds nothing like any others on the market. As it is very short, it doesn't give much of an idea how applicable that tone would be.

I chanced upon a demo by Maury's Music though, and I have generally found their demos to be in the top three (I'm more used to the doing demos of acoustic instruments) of all YouTube video demo artists:

This too sounds nothing like the Rickenbacker used on the original Byrds recordings, but does sound somewhat more like the 12-string sound of Tom Petty's Heartbreakers, to my ears.

Contrast this with the demo from Dawson's of the Gretsch model I bought (and it seems to be the version I own vs. the later changes):

I'll stick with what I have and take a pass on the Reverend model, but I do admire what they've done with this model.
