Music Choice is a music service that takes up 50 or so channels of my cable TV service. Offering an equal number of different genres and/or categories.
but I mainly stick to the "Classic rock", "Solid Gold", "jazz", "Blues" and the couple of "classical" channels.

On the "jazz" and "Blues" channels, they'll often play more newer artists, and squeeze in a few old notables ow and then. And too, often some people I've never heard or heard of.....

There's these....

Bobby Rush also plays guitar(it's said) but can't find anything that shows it frown

CHICK WILLIS, a cousin of R&B singer CHUCK Willis("C.C. Rider") and who died just 4 years ago....

jazz guitarist KENNY CARR apparently still with us...

And Jim Robitaille, who I could only find clips of seemingly promoting this particular model of Grodin guitar....

I'll keep watching from time to time and see who elseI come up with wink

We have MC, too. I usually turn to "Soundscapes" when I set my TV to shut down before bedtime, or just to chill. It's mostly new age stuff like Jean Michel Jarre "Millions Of Stars" but I have found a few NEW (to me) gems that always get me to perk up instead of wind down.
Matthew Schoening "Odyssey"

Georgia Kelly "Gypsy Boy With Roses"

John Luttrell "Wanderng"

Jeff Pearce "With Evening Above"

Kevin Keller "Searching"

Ludivico Einaudi "In Principio" (Note, he has LOTS of cool tunes; check him out in depth):

I've always passed "Soundscapes" by on my way through to other channels. Sounds like I'm gonna have to stop every now and then. smile

Jim Robitaille is a familiar name-bet you would find more of his music in NPR archives.
