I thought of Mrs. Puff from SpongeBob SquarePants.

Perfect design. That fish should be given a job at apple.

Holy cow!

His other talent is blowing up like a rubber ball that you can bounce off the deck of a boat (literally!). Good eating too, apparently. "Chicken of the Sea" they call him because the filets are like chicken drumsticks.

Hmmm. I thought Japanese pufferfish was also the infamous "fugu." Don't know about the chicken taste but if not prepared absolutely correctly, it will be one's last meal. Not for amateurs.

The puffers I am familiar with came from NC Outer Banks and looked exactly like the one in the video. We caught and ate a lot of them. I don't think there is any risk eating those. Of course they were fried, not raw.....

Just heard about the Japanese kind when my brother was transferred to Tokyo for 6 months by his company. I gathered that eating fugu was sort of a rite of passage. Get an improperly prepared meal and death is pretty grisly. Anyway, glad the NC version did you no harm.

I sure hope McDonald's doesn't accidentally get a load of it and make a batch of Death McNuggets. That hot coffee lawsuit will seem quaint in the rear-view mirror.

Marketing could be great, though. "Fugu Filet....do you REALLY deserve a break today?"
