Posting on behalf of a friend. He is selling what we believe to be a 1952 Hammond B-2, a 1948 Leslie 31H tall boy and a Hammond tone cabinet. All in very good condition. My guess is it belong to a church as there is also a third little keyboard for bells. This is the B2 version with ratchet draw bars. The Leslie has a small switch on it to change speeds, though the B2 has a half moon switch that's unconnected. Includes bass pedals. He would like to get $2000 for the whole thing. I would have jumped on it but I simply do not have space in my apartment. The 31H sounds HUGE!!

Located in the west central New Jersey. Pick up only. If interested, PM me and I will put you in touch with him.

I don't know if I have the cash for this right now. But just curious: is this model too early for percussion?

The 3 series added percussion in 1955.

Jake

You could update this with the Trek percussion unit.

OK LOL. Also has the frame wide frame tone generator. Wired differently manual and pedal wise.

Later B-2s were identical TG to the B3 and had smooth drawbars...

If it's a '52 it'll have the non-sequential terminal strip on the tone generator like the -3's have. Serial 40304 and above.

I think I've seen this rig on FB. Everything looked to be in nice condition FWIW.

Hi everyone,

I know it sounds like a typical story, but my friend is full-time solo pianist/singer. Bought it off of a little old lady who's husband died and they had no will, so she's selling off whatever she can, and he bought this on the cheap. He only plays piano, so he has no use for it, himself. His goal is to make his money back and give the rest to the lady. I know this guy pretty well, and he's a good person. I have no stake in the sale, just want the money to go to the lady. Would love to buy it myself, but my little 500 sq ft apartment is overrun with gear as it is.

Went to see the Hammond and played it through the 31H, sounds huge! It's definitely one of those organs that sat in a church somewhere. While there is a half-moon switch it's not hooked up, and someone jury-rigged a little switch on the side of the Leslie to engage the motor.

Anyway, he sent me pics which I am uploading to a photo-site now and will post the URL momentarily.

Bear in mind, while everything works, I'm certain it's going to need an overhaul.

That little-bitty keyboard is adorable.

Do note that the "itty-bitty keyboard" in all liklihood connected to an external cabinet that contained whatever type of generator that was used for the carillon (bells) sounds. I worked on a lot of similar systems years ago in churches, but never heard of that particular manufacturer.
In other words: adorable but probably non-functional at this time.
