Dave Hlubek of Molly Hatchet, RIP
He wrote some great songs, played some great licks, but this is my favorite.

Guitar solos last 30 seconds, the bass line lasts for the whole song.

That's too bad, and then some.

When I was a kid, that album was in heavy rotation that Summer that it came out.

I'd heard that Hlubek and the others in MH were rel nice guys, primarily from a few that I knew that had opened for them back a while, but long after their heyday.

That is sad-I really liked their version of `Dreams I`ll Never See` among other songs.
RIP

Never got into Molly that much, but did like that tune.

Too bad. Same age as me, and that's scary. Condolences to all that loved him. Rest In Peace.

This guy had chops. Hatchet was like Skynyrd dabbling with a little AC/ DC part Iron Maiden in 79/81. RIP Dave

If I recall correctly, Dave Hlubek used to fret with only his index and middle fingers. I remember reading that somewhere way back then, when I was first learning how to play guitar. I thought that didn't make any sense. Anyways, I was a big fan of Molly Hatchet, and I have one of their CD's in my vehicle. That CD doesn't have the song "The Rambler", which is a shame, because that's probably my favorite Molly Hatchet song. Sad to see Dave gone.
