Had a discussion on another forum about how to get out of a rut - writing songs always alike. I suggested writing something humourous.

Like these lyrics I just wrote watching Ninja warrior

Buyer Beware

Settin’ round today, with nothing to do,
Looked 'round the room and right away I knew.
I needed me another guitar or two,
So I googled eBay and Craigslist too.

I found me a nice little Fender Strat
And a sweet Les Paul, thought how about that.
But now I need a new amp to play
And maybe two or three could make my day.

So anyway I sent my name to the guy
Letting him know I was ready to buy.
I told him I just needed to try them out
You know, make sure what they were all about.

So I drive on over to this man's house
Only to find out the guy's a louse.
His amp didn't work, the guitars were junk
Yeah, Buyer's Beware the stuff just stunk.

Since a lot of the sex trade uses Craigslist, I'm curious as to your "Craigslist experience". wink

I thought, at least in LA, that Craigslist had eliminated the "Personals" section, precisely because it had become the domain of 'professionals'.

I was looking for a used amp for my Son-in-law when his amp died
Found a pretty good deal on a Blackstar but it turned out to suck. (Yeah no sex intended)😀

Unfortunately the Personals are still here. I blocked them.

Here's a humorous parody I shared on the other forum:

Let me tell you a story of a man named Jed, a poor mountaineer barely kept his family fed
then one day he was out planting seed, when up through the ground came an acre of weed
Marijuana Acapulco Gold
Well the 1st thing you know old Jed's a millionaire, kinfolk said Jed, you got to grow your hair
Said Californie is the place you want to be, so they loaded up the truck and they moved to Sausalito...

He opened up a store selling dirty nasty weed, also a sideline of pornie magazines
The taxes ate him up and he had to shut her down
and go back to planting seed in that dirty nasty ground

We would like to thank you folks for kindly dropping in
to have a heaping spoonful with Jed and all his kin
You're all invited back next week to this locality
To help us share a toke or two, of this dirty nasty weed...
