Funny, I just sang that song at a BBQ party last night. I do it as a medley following Don't Be Cruel in the key of C. Try it some time, they are basically the same song. Love them both! cool

That was also the year that Elvis got "All Shook Up", The Everly Brothers said, "Bye, Bye Love" and tried to "Wake Up Little Susie".

Chuck Berry just wanted us to give him some of that "Rock And Roll Music", and Buddy Holly told us, "That'll Be the Day" and he would "Not Fade Away".

Jerry Lee Lewis had "Great Balls of Fire" and Little Richard ordered "Tutti Frutti". And Sam Cooke said, "You Send Me".

And that's just the tip of '57's iceberg! wink

57's music, some of the greatest Rock and Roll ever that year, and the rest of the 50's as well.

Cool car DBM! My buddies all had 56, 57 and 58 Chevys and I had a stupid old 60 Ford Fairlane. Then I got me a cool little Sunbeam Alpine! Only one thing cooler than a 57 Chevy, and that would be a 57 Vette! thu

Y'all did better than me....

First wheels was a '60 Ford Falcon! crazy

Bought it for $60 from a buddy's brother. Owned it a month. Ran for only a week. Only good thing was a junkman took it off my hands for $60. So basically, I had a free car for a month. grin

OT: But if I were hoping for wheels in 1957, it would have definitely been the T=Bird

Loved those portholes! Classic cars are still super cool. 57 was a very good year for cars and rock and roll... cool

And Doc, the '57 Chevy is STILL considered "iconic".

Woodward Avenue is the "main" drag through Detroit and many outward suburbs, and every summer they hold the "Woodward Dream Cruise" for a weekend, and you'll see an impressive parade of "classic" iron rolling down the road! It's a big event here.

And as I forewarned in another thread, on the radio in '57, mixed in with all the rock'n'roll "classics", you could also hear PERRY COMO singing "Catch A Falling Star". wink
