Larry Coryell's 11th House

Tracks / Alabama Rhap Corollary / Mr. Miyake / Dragon's Way / Philly Flash / Molten Grace/ Seven Secrets / The Dip / Having Second Thoughts / Some Funky Stuff / Mudhen Blues / Zodiac.
Personnel / Larry Coryell guitar (1-4, 6-11), acoustic guitars (5) / Julian Coryell guitar (1-4, 6-11) / Randy Brecker / trumpet (1-4, 6-11) / John Lee bass (1-4, 6-11) / Alphonse Mouzon: drums (1-4, 6-11), keyboards (6, 8, 9, 11) / Dennis Haklar acoustic guitar (3).

Fueled by Mouzon’s big back-beats and powerful fills, Coryell cuts loose on Mouzon’s kinetic 7/4 title track. Coryell wields some audacious string-bending on the blues-rocker “The Dip” and the earthy “Mudhen Blues” and delivers some Wes Montgomery-style work on “Having Second Thoughts.”

The killer on Seven Secrets is Lee’s “Dragon’s Way,” a 6/8 romp that will whet the appetites of fusion fans. Sparked by Mouzon’s slamming groove and Lee’s slippery, singing tones on his fretless bass, this number also showcases the young Julian’s chops, which come directly out of the Steve Vai–Joe Satriani school.

In May, Coryell went into the studio with another crew of musicians. John Lee on fretless electric bass, making a formidable rhythm tandem with drummer Lee Pearson (from Chris Botti’s band). Joining them on this session—decidedly “jazzier” than Seven Secrets session—were pianist Lynne Arriale and reedman Dan Jordan. Together they created BAREFOOT MAN SANPAKU (Purple Pyramid Records), Coryell’s answer to his 1971 opus Barefoot Boy.

Nice treat d!
Dragon`s way is `not available`-bummer.
Liked the title track.

Most of the videos are not available.
I hate that.

Skip, I just hit the play for D's Way & it worked fine.
As did the others...maybe it was a temporary YT issue.
idk
When I was digging these up at YT it looked as if every track on the alb might be there....

No-it`s there, as long as you are in the U.S.
A nasty treat from YT and other sites lately.

What ?
Y'mean YT, an international site, has somehow cut off those outside USA ?
What's the deal ? Diff ending to URL ?

& what do you mean "other sites lately"?

I`m not sure of the actual mechanism, should be easy enough to look it up.
There may be workarounds for those tech savvy enough.
By `other sites` I mean news videos. Some of the videos from Charlottesville for example, at least have a message that is a little more specific-`we are sorry, this video is not available in your country`.
It was not such a problem until recently, probably more fallout from DMCA and other such legislation. I expect it will only get worse.

Hmmm.

To me that suggests it might have something more to do w/local restrictions than DMCA or overall YT mashdown.
Although how that ties these Coryell vids (that are still playable on YT) idk .

For you they are playable on YT. I tried looking them up outside of your post-same message. If it was local restrictions I`m guessing the message would not be in perfect English-that`s not so common in this country. For videos that say `not available in your country`, that suggests that the source is not in the same country, no?

The message may be from YT (or, given a situation, whatever source) but it may be imposed by a local govt entity, as in the case of certain nations that don't want their citizenry to access whatever.
Why this is happening to you there in Japan in regard to these music vids, I can't guess.
Let's investigate.

Can you see this ?

I can see it. It plays just fine.
Now here is what I got instead of a video embedded in a Huffpost report:

We Are Sorry,
This video is restricted from playing in your location

At the bottom is Ecode 18-whatever that means.
