so in the early 90s I had an ultimate support keyboard stand. it was for one synth only. it was made of abs plastic and had a funky triangular shape. you simply unfolded it to get it ready. not adjustable in any way! please help me remember the name so i can google for an image. cheers.

I think he's talking about that modified "Z" shaped thingy that was black plastic.

no aluminium here, totally molded plastic. wasn't really a z-shape.

badly drawn

Sorry. I totally do NOT remember that stand. I've been a huge USS stand user from 1987 on (used to live right near their old Ft. Collins, CO factory)

EDITED:

Wow I do remember that now that Vonnor found it. I did not like it when I saw it in the store way back then wink

I never say that stand when it came out, but suspect it is what led to the Apex stand (which I still use, even though some keyboards aren't happy with due to depth -- such as Moog Voyager -- or where the jacks sit if in the middle).

Interesting design. But looking closely at the eBay auction photos, I'd be nervous putting anything much heavier than a Casiotone on it. :-)

I have 3 of hose folding USS stands. They are more sturdy than you would think but still cautious of what I place on them.

Edit Reason: removed pic since it was already posted in #2872106

but we still don't know the name of it.

I've just dug mine out and only remember it as the 'Z' stand'
