Hey y'all,

Been playing with this math-jazz group for a little over a year now. We recorded a debut EP a few months back which will be out August 25th. It'll be available on Bandcamp, most streaming services, as well as in physical CD format. Here's the first single, next one coming Friday. (I think. Don't get mad if it's not this there. I'm not in charge of this kinda stuff.)

We'll also be on tour at the end of the month. It won't concern most of you, but who knows, maybe someone in one of these towns is around.

Fri August 18th @ Leduc, AB

Sun August 20th @ Vern's (Calgary, AB)

Thur August 31st @ The Root (Lloydminster, AB)

Fri September 1st @ The Slice (Lethbridge, AB)

Sat September 2nd @ The Vat (Red Deer, AB)

Sun September 3rd @ Saskatoon, SK

Mon September 4th @ Regina, SK

I like it, but not sure why you refer to it as 'math-jazz.' Just because it's syncopated in an uncommon time signature? I dig the synth solo.

That's coming from the bandleaders' metal background... The guitarist and drummer write the tunes, this project is kind of the evolution of their previous band, which was pretty straight up progressive metal. Metalheads often refer to more complex stuff as math/mathy, so yeah. cheers

Math Jazz yeah! I love this kind of music and I wish you lots of luck on the tour. That's a tasty synth solo Eric.

Thanks Joe!

Second single just dropped, featuring a little spacey delayed Rhodes solo from yours truly! Unfortunately, the camera wasn't rolling during the overdubbed solo. But we got cool V1D30 3FF3CTZ!!!

Nice playing Eric! I like the group, compositions, arrangements, and production. Very nice/fat synth sound. Must have been fun to play!

Thanks, fellas! cheers

Yeah Joe, I love doing a variety of things. This project has pushed me a lot and continues to push me. I'm not used to playing so many notes, or having to count so much! Those guys blow me away with their chops and memorization.

Love that new track, the Rhodes solo is really great! You've got a great bunch of players there, can't wait to hear more. Good luck with the tour, not that you'll need it by the sounds of things...

Finally took the time to watch this. I love this sound. The sax player is great, and you my friend are also laying it down.

Instinct is now live! Stream it more or less anywhere, or buy it from Bandcamp here. Not sure if they'll be shipping any CDs, but feel free to inquire if you like.

In the mean time, a new video also accompanied the album release today:

Thanks for listening, and thanks for all the support! Next one's on me. wave cheers

This is a cool and interesting project Eris. Congratulations! I listened to all of your tracks. Some nice keys solos. smile It was a good idea to film your recording session and a very good camera angle. What is your top keyboard?

The top keyboard is my Studiologic Sledge. I use it in several projects, it's great. thu
