Happy belated 4th everyone, I was away up in Northern Ca. for a few days, and on the road all day July 4th & at my hotel last night in Grapevine Ca. All I did after entering the hotel room last evening was; put the stuff from the car into the room, go to the nearest Denny's, eat supper till after 9:00 PM, and went back to the hotel and went straight to bed, the TV was on for the wifey on HBO. I missed everything like fireworks and the DC's A Capitol Fourth Concert. The only thing I enjoyed for the day was using the Cal 99 Freeway from Stockton to Grapevine instead of I-5. It went from stressful (at 85 mph on I-5 in the left lane) while the trucks on the right lane are restricted to 55 mph. Ca 99 however is newly paved and has 6 lanes 75% of the way, which reduced the stress level down 85%. The Honda Fit purred along very nicely at 80-85 mph, & @ up to 90mph in spots. Quite a surprise for a little 4 cylinder engine.

I always wondered why people feel obligated to celebrate certain holidays in certain ways. I mean, traditionally getting together with family at Thanksgiving and Christmas is one thing. and not really a bad thing, if those are the only times it can be done, but the obligatory "going out and getting shit-faced" every New Year's Eve got stale for me long ago. And as a non drinker and "device-free" individual, I'm not sorry I missed the usual "iPhone/kegger" at my nephew's this year for the 4th. And as I said, my sister in law sent over a plate of grilled goods from HER do this year, so it's all good. smile

21st century or not it's still all "relative"......

What's a long time for a kid is a "blink" for an old fart. wink

Been quite a while since I heard anything from "One Size", so thanks for that! smile

Relativity is a 20th C concept.
Einstein's so old there ain't even any color pix of him !
Now, there is only now.
Even if it looks like a mix of things it's only what catches someone B4 The Next.

One of the varied branches of quantum physics holds that time, at least as we experience it, doesn't really exist.

Time's just a way to keep our perception decloggerfied.
It exists but not the way we perceive it.

It might be that the appreciation of music depends on not hearing everything all at once.
The music of the spheres might sound like a really bad tape of a Hendrix concert.

I was at the fourth of July in 2017 . It was just the other day.
Seemed everyone was having a party. Then we walked to the park for the fire work show. 🎉🎆🎇🎊🈹🈵🔘🇬🇧🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
After that we realized that time is relevant and we were glad we had spent some of the stuff on each one another . Plus it was America's birthday too.
