I dunno....

Didn't look like Bill Cosby or Rodney had much if anything to worry about.

I wish I had been in the audience at any of his live performances. I don't think he was trying to be the king of comedy, I think he was just having him some fun tonight... cool

Yeah, he had a sense of humor, and it's good to see he didn't place himself above self parody and deprication. I remember that Singer special and the joking he did about his "lip sneer". He happened to do it in that "in the round" segment and Scotty poked fun of it. Elvis shot back, "Hey, man. Don't make fun of that LIP. I made 25 MOVIES with this lip. Wouldn't have HAD a movie career withOUT it." grin

Our old drummer went to see him at Detroit's old Olympia Stadium back in '69, but sadly, the only thing he remembered about it was getting back out to his car and finding it up on BLOCKS.

I came out of a dance/concert and there were some boys out in the parking lot trying to hot wire my Sunbeam Alpine sports car. The ignition switch was hanging by 3 or 4 wires and there were about another 6 or so hanging loose. My buddy and I ran them off and the security guard chased after them. Luckily I had the manual under the seat, looked up the wiring diagram, hooked the wires on the right poles, and we had our ride home. Finding your car up on blocks would really be a bummer...I'm assuming he had some chrome wheels? cool

ps. one of the clips D posted, has Elvis joking about that Lip LOL! cool

That's what's puzzling. It was just a stock '68 Plymouth Valiant. Olive green and bland as Lawrence Welk.

Not really. They're pretty easy to fence.
