If you've ever thought about rolling your own effects, this article (with video) could interest you: http://www.effectsbay.com/2017/01/fx-development-board/

Not a fan of posting crowdfunding projects in threads like these, but this really looks like it could be worth it.

Empress Effects showed up at NAMM with this new beauty, and everybody was like woah.

Kinda don't wanna view that vid, 'cause I bet it'll be great and I'll want it and it'll be very expensive...

I have maybe half a dozen Delay effects, for trying to do that kind of thing. "Let's see, if I run the Reverse Delay into the Half-Speed Looper . . ."

Tone Report Weekly went to NAMM, too. Here's six pedals they want you to know about: http://www.magazine.tonereport.com/mag/0854596001485541736/p20

Whoa!! The Catalinbread Belle Epoch Deluxe and Epoch Pre sure look amazing!! KEV WANT.

My Strymon El Capistan will always hold a special place in my heart and my ear, but damn if this Belle Epoch Deluxe and Epoch Pre don't look to be even more of what I want here. I can easily imagine getting the Epoch Pre first, by itself, and really liking it with my El Cap' and other pedals and my amp.

I'll add that the El Capistan works best, for me, in an amp's effects-loop, while this Belle Epoch Deluxe and Epoch Pre probably would be very pleasing in front of an amp's input, as well as in the effects-loop. Though I might still end up choosing to put the Belle Epoch Deluxe in the 'loop (with the Epoch Pre in front of the amp's input), as I tend prefer echoing overdrive and distortion to overdriving and distorting the repeats of an echo-device, if you know what I mean.

these kind of things are not for everybody...but I like all the input/output options:

Oh, I think I would love that! As it is, I already have a Rivera RockCrusher, a very old GT Electronics (Groove Tubes) Speaker Emulator, an ART DUALZDirect 2-channel 1/4"-to-XLR DI, and an ART PowerMIX III 3x stereo headphone-amp. Two of my tube-amps have 'speaker compensated/voiced' direct outputs, as well- one has a 1/4" DI, the other an XLR.

Keeley at NAMM, showing off a few new pedals:

I don't usually like most chorus-effects at all, but that Dyno-My-Roto tri-chorus sounds pretty good there!

  • 2 weeks later...
Reminds me of the "Large Print" books we used to sell for the vision-impaired. That thing is bigger than ANY pedalboard I've ever hauled around.

I just can't get enough!

Once I complete the set, I should be able to recreate the score to damn near any schlock sci-fi film of the 1980s.

Chase Bliss Audio bills this as an "analog gain stage", and the level of control it gives you is stunning.

Nice! I like that! Looks very versatile! And I bet it'd only be better yet when stacking other pedals into it.

The next EHX 9 is here!

This seems to be my least liked of the series- I really like all of the others so far. I wouldn't touch most of the musical examples that they use throughout the video, though I could use some of the pedal's sounds in my own way for my own music- most likely combined with other pedals, as well.
