No, it doesn't have polyphonic aftertouch.
Does that help?

Next we'll find there's no MIDI THRU or drawbar sliders!

Probably sounds pretty good through a Vent though roll

Also has a 4-octave keyboard. Pause at 27 seconds into the 3rd promo, and look at the bottom of the screen.

So, to me, another useless synth.

O.k.,- no VCOs, 4 voices only and a 4 oct. keyboard.

thx !

Doesn´t matter how cheap it will be, I simply have no use for such a machine.
Never bought any original Roland Juno in the past when I counted ´em as toys already, not flagships.

I expected to see something close to JX10/MKS70 or JP-6/MKS80 synth architectures and would prefer 12-voice poly so one can layer/split into 2x 6-voices.

Anyway, it´s possibly just only the beginning,- so maybe the next one might be for me.

Doesn't sound like a Juno at all to me, nor does it have a similar feature set other than DCOs. Just from the teasers, we can tell that this synth goes way beyond what a Juno can do.

Number of voices is pure speculation. I'm hoping for at least 6. Midas has been working for a year and a half on this project, so it has the potential of being something special.

I'm interested.

The demos all seem to represent a mono machine with two independent DCO's...perhaps duophonic? I hope it is at least 4 voice. Perhaps it'll have several modes similar to the Minilouge which is still on my short list along with the Erebus. I want portable knobby analog so 49 keys are perfect for me but am willing to use a controller for the right sound. Oh decisions decisions. I agree with Bill H. that it sounds way more versatile than vintage Roland.

So Behringer’s analog synth is a poly, and other revelations...

Sounds like a Juno60. If it has 6 voices and costs half a Prophet 6 or OB6. What then???

Screenshot that has led to speculation that it's a four voice synth. In the video you get a little more of that blurry fourth light.

Some think that's it. Some think there's more voice lights not in the frame.

I'm in the latter camp.

Then we see what it sounds like. And how well it's built. And how good it feels under the hand.

Electric guitars have six strings (well, most of them, anyway). The ones that cost half of what others cost have to make it through the same sort of test, right? idk

To me, those are pretty much the only things that matter. What an instrument costs is (largely) beside the point. It has been my experience that when an instrument feels and sounds right to someone, they frequently find a way to get it even if it costs more than other similar offerings.

This is why i'll pick up my already paid for OB-6 from the shop in exactly 3 hours, 12 minutes, and more or less 30 seconds.

That teaser video came out after I wrote that (I point out for the benefit of those not following the chronology of these posts).

But we still don't know for sure how many voices. And how do we know that it's truly polyphonic and not, say, paraphonic like the Pro 2? Does the last video give any evidence either way?
