kudyba
Have any of you tried using any of those home CD-repair kits like Disc Doctor? I saw a reference to it in this thread and I've seen a few other kits out there. Any recommendations? Wipe Out? Allsop? Skip Doctor? DIscwasher?
demtation
Since getting a car CD deck, my discs get thrashed regularly, and I'm happy to report that the Disc Doctor has salvaged over 50+ of my CDs (and Dreamcast discs!) that skipped or refused to play. That said, however, the process is tedious and the disc doctor is incredibly cheaply built. I've gone through two of them, and they changed the design of the replacement buffing wheel, making them incompatable with older units, which I am *not* happy about. I'll reluctantly buy a 3rd if I can't find any of it's competition. 50 CDs = $600 vs 3 Disc Doctors = $120.
