699.00 euro; 786.72 US; 2 minute installation into a DMC-122.

Will also be released in a desktop version and rack mount version.

http://www.genuinesoundware.com/?a=showproduct&b=43

If the DMC-122 has the same updated keyboard as the Mojo, that may be tempting vs. the Mojo for the extra sounds, but if one is mainly interested in the organ, the advantages of Mojo are slightly less weight, simplicity and vibe. I wonder if there are any other advantages for Mojo organ.

I love Guido's sense of humor. The car in "Back to the Future" was a Delorean DMC-12. The GSI keyboard board is the "DMC-122". Same color and sleek design as the car!

Maybe that makes Guido "Doc Brown!"

There is a page that lets you poke around the editor app - it's here.

If you click on the PRESET LIST tab at the bottom of the page, there are mp3 demos of most of the sounds.

Damn. This thing is just... damn!!!

I was expecting a kind of "Mojo plus", a module that would allow using VB3vII without hooking up a computer, with a few bonus sounds.

But this looks like a different game: not so much for the number of available sounds, but for the flexibility and control options.
I LOVE the WiFi control via app, it just makes things so much easier. And the upcoming rack versions will make it even more usable and flexible... wow. Really great job, Guido.

As an afterthought, I think that Hammond-Suzuki now has some serious catching up to do. The SK line has been pretty unique for a few years, especially the SK2 which had basically no competition (the other dual-manual available were much more organ-centric).
But now the Electro5 filled the gap with the SK1, and the DMC122+Gemini is definitely playing the same game as the SK2.

Ah, so many options... and so much GAS!!!

Ok, in the video I see mention of a hybrid PM/sampled acoustic piano, PM trombone but don't see them in the editor. How do the two DSPs work? Can you have B3 on one and Rhodes on the other?

Excuse my inexperience, but I'm seriously considering this as my first module purchase and have some basic questions. Will this work without a computer at all? Could I connect it to a midi controller and just play? This would be a great portable live performance alternative if it just needs to be plugged in, connected to 2 midi controllers, set up the sounds and just play. However, I'm not sure if it works like that or not. Please enlighten me smile

This looks VERY interesting....

I wonder how the VB3 version 2 compares to the organ sounds currently in the Mojo. It is nice to see all the editability.

The VB3 Version 2 is exactly what is currently in the Mojo, I believe.

From the website:

"The VB3-II is the exact same software that powers the Crumar Mojo and presents the same parameter set."

Different sound engine for each keyboard on the DMC122.

This is not what you need. This is a plug-in board for an existing keyboard.

As dB mentioned above, there will be a rack and desktop version later this year. Either of those will work as you want, although connectivity remains to be seen (obviously).

So, no, this item (as it exists today) is not what you need.

I just crapped my pants. Great stuff.
Not so interested in the DMC-122 with this card. But the desktop or rack is inviting. The other thing is, how much of this DSP is going into the next Mojos, the single manual Mojo we think is coming in particular. That's a very competitive option vs. Sk1 or Electro. Curious to see how the fx sound and how they map with hardware controls on the various instruments.

Playing with the editor ,I'm not able to find the option to change the tonewheel generator sets, like the Mojo has.... maybe that's not possible with this card?

I'm seeing an 899.00 US price also from their site. Looks great. Although since I just bought a Muse Receptor I'm not as excited about this as I was a few months ago ;-)

That said, it looks like a great module. Hmmm... What can I sell to justify installing this into my DMC-122?

GAS.....

Looks like it's there...

5. Settings: Generator

When you click on the description, it says "VB3-II / Generator - Pick your preferred one from a list of 22 generators measured from actual Hammond organs"

The Rack module is interesting.
With 2 DSPs, I wondered how many of the 15 engines are simultaneously playable.
Looks like it΄s 2 engines at a time and w/ 11 FX max.,- correct ?

So, when you already have Rhodes and Clav loaded and now want Hammond and Wurli on the fly,- how long does it need offloading DSPs incl. FX, fill em w/ new data until it΄s playable again ?

Guido ?

Oh no - WANT (and need). Finally, some sound module sense.

I want the smaller Gemini (that installs in the DMC) to install into my homemade lower manual and be midi'd up. Is the rackmount the only option there or can something be done to this dmc gemini to accomplish this?

I prefer not to lug around a rack or the planned table-top (unless that's going to be small, like the gemini).
