The Wireless Midi Controller is not for me and I'm sure drummers won't like the idea LOL! But it is cool! I like Tommy Emmanuel's acoustically bang'en the box with his hands style over the electric drum machine sounds...

It is just a fuzz...but what a fuzz!

JHS Pedals Muffuletta Fuzz Pedal

http://www.jhspedals.com/products/guitar-pedals/muffuletta/

That is pretty cool, if you're into various iterations of transistor-based Muffs. My VFE Fiery Red Horse Saturated Fuzz (V1) is a very versatile Muff-based pedal, as well; I bet that you'd really like it.

I really liked the V4 or V5 IC/Op-Amp-based EH Big Muff Pi that I had long ago; I'd love to have another such pedal...

I've read a number of reviews of that modeling amp, and they pretty much break down to "WOW!" If you could only spend a weekend in Rev. Billy Gibbons' Amp Shack with that thing . . .

Well...even WITHOUT it, to be honest. Right?

True, I'd gladly spend a weekend in there, even without the Kemper, but still, the idea of bringing all those classic tones home with you, in one box . . .

Sorry, did I drool on the floor there?

Get low!

Cool. Sounds great, looks to be an excellent pedal. It'd be great to also hear demonstrations of it fed into overdriven and distorted tube-amps, and/or other overdrive and distortion pedals. (I'm big on doing that with octave-fuzz pedals.)

You'd very likely really love the Foxrox Octron (have one, LOVE  it) or Octron 2, and the Mu-FX Octave-Divider, the reborn, improved Musitronics Mu-tron Octave Divider (want one).

This could be used to control any guitar effect with a control voltage input. :)

Loved the synth module! For another approach to CV controllers, I think this is still available for the blow-out price? Hot Hand Wah with ring controller.

The Hot Hand Wah also has a CV Out, which sends the signal from the Hot Hand ring controllers, (wired, or wireless) to the CV/EXP In on another effects unit or synth. Yes, the pedal has a pretty large footprint, but for the price, it's worth exploring a new type of controller.

I like that the phaser side of the pedal seems somewhat based on the classic Electro Harmonix Small Stone phaser; most are based on the MXR phasers (particularly the Phase 90). Both are great, but different. I wish I still had the magically perfect '79 Small Stone that I once had...

Now, my

equals the potential for a lot of funkalicious echo 'n' phase, albeit from two pedals...:2thu:

There is something to be said for pedals that combine multiple functions, but also for those that are specialists...assuming we're just discussing quality pedals, of course.

Mhn-Hmn, agreed.

My Strymon Flint is a cool example; three flavors of vintage amp-style tremolo, and three types of reverb; its most classic sounds seem to be those consisting of reverb > tremolo (the reverse order is available), which is the way it is on most vintage amps with on-board reverb and tremolo. This way, the reverb continues to be heard getting chopped-up by the tremolo in-between played notes and chords, and that's what is heard on countless classic records.

Now, in my previous post here, I should have posted or alluded to a pedal-order consisting of

phaser > echo > reverb

as this sounds the best, to me; the place in the sweep of the phase as sliced-up and repeated in each of the trailing echo-repeats rubbing up against that of the continuing phasered (non-echo) signal, and also that of the reverb's reverberations, all mixes together for a particularly heady, vibey texture. A little extra regeneration (more echoes trailing) and a fairly big, wet reverb further enhances this. Try it, you'll hear what I mean.

Here ya go. I'm sure that some of you sonic perverts- and also some of the nicer ambient sound chasers amongst us- would really enjoy this:

Walrus Audio Janus Tremolo / Fuzz w/ dual joystick controls

(Currently, temporarily, promotional code Halloween15 can be used when ordering from Walrus Audio to net a 15% discount)

______ [video:youtube]

Note the inclusion of a "Blend"-control, for blending between the clean/straight-signal and the fuzz...:2thu:

The joysticks look like they could, with care and practice, be manipulated by ones feet while playing...

I'd try running reverb through this fuzz and tremolo- that is, fuzzing, and tremolo-chopping, the reverb, but not the dry/non-reverbed "straight" signal from before the reverb, for fuzzed, stuttering sequencer-like hazy clouds of sound fading up and out after and behind my playing.

I'd also more conventionally feed it echoes rhythmically-timed (tap-tempo is a friend! to go along with- or rub up against- the tremolo, with or without the fuzz. Likewise reverb.

I have ben looking at the Janus for a while. But I wish they had used a pair of trackball-type controls instead of those joysticks. They'd be much easier to manipulate with a shod foot.

For visual reference, there would be a color spot in the center.

Yes, it would look like a pair of eyeballs in the pedal, but so what?

Might not be a bad idea; might be do-able...

Have you brought this up with Walrus Audio?

another approach to infinite sustain: http://www.keithmcmillen.com/labs/strongarm/

Hey, that's cool! I like that!

And more than just sustain, this seems to impart blooming harmonic-overtones, much like feedback from loud amps and speaker-cabs does. And...

"Tilt Detector enhances your choice of harmonics"

:D:laugh: Haahh! Cool. Classic feedback-catching-technique poses rewarded at any volume, no matter how low!:2thu: I like that, too!
