Firmware version 4.25 is out. I just need some friends with a PC to upgrade my X3-2.

just did the 4.25 . i just installed the 4.22 this week, it was
a nice improvement , the 4.25 is even better . the organ's
got more personality , it's more animated for sure and the pedal
tone has finally arrived i think . the update will be well worth
the effort . the output problems i was having with my vent seem
to be resolved . one of default output settings on the 4.25 has
been trimmed way down , could have been the culprit

I just got a borrowed xb2 with an hx 3 interiour. It sounds and plays pretty nice, will not fiddle about at all since it is not mine , has anyone of you had the chance to compare this older version with a recent version? It feels and sounds pretty nice but the C/V is too strong and the leslie on this FW is a bit too weak or 2 dimensional. But the click , percussion and overdrive feel spot on . Thank you in advance

Does 4.25 affect the CV?

I am more than happy with the CV on 4.22 now except on the last 4 or 5 notes with 888000000 third percussion.

Those notes could stand to be a little less warbly. But I do so much playing in the middle register that I hate to give it up for anything else- it sounds great there.

The CV has to be dialed in though. I wish I could speak to someone who knows more about what is going on with it.

I am able to pair the HX3 with keybeds I really like. I am not wild about the TP-80 stuff at this point.

When I tried the Viscount Legend, there were some things I missed about the HX3. The midrange sounds very very good.

the 4.25 did tone down the c/v somewhat , it was a little too much previously but i got used to it , it sounded strong in
a loud stage mix . when i first heard the c/v in the 4.25 ,
it sounded a little weaker , but , it's fine , a little more
accurate .the change to the tone generator itself, is well
worth the update . sounds very good , even warmer than before

Still trying to find out how 4.25 affects the CV.

Not much info lately on any of this. I know I probably beat it to death last spring, but I am very close to getting what I want out of this.

The midrange CV is very sweet and the organ has quite a bit of clarity with 4.22. I am hoping the upper register gets smoothed out a bit, but speaker selection seems to be crucial. Right now I am still avoiding all P.A. type speakers as they seem to wreak hell on CV percussion harmonics and extreme upper register tones.

The HX3 is so close. Or maybe its just me....

The CV wasn't changed with the latest 4.25.

The sound is more even overall now, see the changes here:
https://github.com/keyboardpartner/HX3/blob/master/LATEST/readme.md

You can always go back to the former version if you are not happy.
Be sure to save your settings or write it down, you never know....
