Rutger passed away today according to reports.
His playing drives so much of Abba's music and he also arranged much of the horns and strings on the records.
He was 69 and dies suddenly at his home in Stockholm.

Now that I'll be turning that age in a few months, 69 seems awful young to depart. RIP Rutger.

I have basses to play, places to be and good music to make!

One of the best. That whole band represented the top musicians in Sweden, many of whom also did pit orchestra gigs and jazz. Aside from overall chops though, Rutger & co knew how to lay a groove and present a tight pocket with the rhythm section.
