OT - What are you listening to right now?

At this moment, I'm hearing this album for the first time:

It's really quite beautiful. Potter's string writing is really nice, and the strings integrate into the jazz ensemble very nicely and non-forced.

They're playing here this week, but John Escreet is subbing for Taborn. Gonna skip it.

Tangerine Dream: Zeit/Nebulous Dawn

Seemed a bit dark to me at the time it came out, appreciating it more now.

I bought the Alpha Centari album at the student union when I was in college. I kept telling myself it was good but I could not get in to it. Probably because I never smoked weed.

I think the problem was the lack of drums.

While everyone was watching the Super Bowl last night, I was at the Blue Note seeing Christian Scott. His new band is fire -- slightly different than the one in this clip, losing Matthew Stevens on guitar, and adding Elena Pinderhughes on flute and vocals, and Joe Dyson on drums instead of Corey Fonville. Also, people need to get hip to Lawrence Fields (on piano).
