Tame Impala - just got given a heads-up by son (who also put me onto Muse and Arctic Monkeys)...these guys have some really interesting music away from the "lead" singles...

There is no luck - luck is simply the confluence of circumstance and co-incidence...

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this yet but "Wise Up Ghost" by Elvis Costello and The Roots is the best new album I heard in 2013!
Instrumentation is meaningless - a song either stands on its own merit, or it requires bells and whistles to cover its lack of adequacy, much less quality. - kanker

I've loved every Roots collab record so far. Probably the best working band of the 21st century so far, IMO.

All this talk of rock format bands trying to play blues.....

Walter is one of the good ones.

This is more about what I happen to be watching rather than listening to, but it is music related. I ended up getting sucked into the Live from Daryl's House series. I really dig what he's doing. Nice vibe, great musicians enjoying themselves, great guests and some great music. I like the positive, uplifting nature of the show. I'd love to be involved in something like that.

Korg Kronos 61 (2); Kurzweil PC4, Roland Fantom-06, Casio PX-350M; 2015 Macbook Pro and 2012 Mac Mini (Logic Pro X and Mainstage), GigPerformer 4.
