Morrissey "Last of the Famous International Playboys". Seriously.

because it's the first song of some 80s originals CD. And even a number of my enhancing effects are on, so it's somewhat fun.

At night, regularly a selection from Radio10, luckily without the mixes being messed up, so extremely bearable.

Recently, I listened to:

[*]Golden Earring - demo of latest CD[*]From High Definition sources: Ellington, Art Blakey, Dr. John, McCoy Tyner, Prince, Depeche Mode, James Taylor, Megadeth

[*]Joe Jackson

[*]RtF live, Bluray

[*]Black Ice - Ac/Dc (my own remix from official CD having cost 6,66)

[*]Sometimes "WBGO"

[*]

Ah, now the CD is at "Talk Talk"^2.

This morning while getting ready for work - Boz Scaggs

Heard one of his tunes playing at a cafe the other day. Been quite awhile since I heard his music, and it was rather enjoyable.

We play Lido Shuffle in my band. That's one of those that is sort of unenjoyable to play because you're busy trying to cover so many parts (piano, brass with swells, synth) at the same time and none of the parts are really very interesting. It's just kind of like busy work.

Dan

Acoustic/Electric stringed instruments ranging from 4 to 230 strings, hammered, picked, fingered, slapped, and plucked. Analog and Digital Electronic instruments, reeds, and throat/mouth.

The Jonny Lang was a pleasant surprise this year. And I love me some Snarky Puppy.

This guy, Edward Powell: [video:youtube]

He played a show here a week ago, and my wife and I were both pretty blown away. Picked up all of his CD's. Very nice Indian/Arabic acoustic fusion stuff. The wife has been playing his stuff non-stop lately, and I don't mind.

Also, picked up the new Steve Hackett Genesis Revisited: Live at the Hammersmith yesterday, haven't watched the DVD's yet, but spun the CD's strait through about 4 times yesterday while trouble-shooting some IT stuff at work. Sounds great!

I also got the new Painkiller (John Zorn, Bill Laswell, and, this time, Tatsuya Yoshida from the Ruins on drums) live CD, but haven't had the time and mental space to spin it yet. Expecting it to be pretty intense.

Turn up the speaker

Hop, flop, squawk

It's a keeper

Australian neo soul prog band Hiatus Kaiyote.

Fantastic band. I've missed their live show here, like, 3 times now.
