Well I finally made up my mind and I sold my Mesa Boogie Lonestar 2x12 (my very last tube amp) and my Axe Fx Ultra to fund a new Axe Fx II. Should be here this coming tuesday.

I can't wait to get it in and get firmware version 10 loaded onto it.

Cliff said that version 10 SHOULD be ready today.Version 10 is supposed to be a total upgrade to the unit instead of a partial one.

Can't wait to see all the new features and try out the new presets in version 10.

The two things I really like with the axe 2 over the ultra is it now has an intergated USB port as well as a headphone input! Not to mention all the new sounds it has on it.

I will post back when I get the unit in and get it up and running.

ME2!!!!

I was ready to pull the trigger a month ago, but the delay in Axe Edit made me delay the purchase.

So... We can trade stories!

Sure! I would love to trade experiences with the axe fx II.

The axe edit and firmware 10 and a new "bot" to downnload the firmware are already on the fractal site.

From what I can tell, a lot of people are going TOTALLY for the brand new presets that Cliff has put in firmware version 10! They say they are that good!

Does it have a Dumble in it?

It sure does,Picker! Cliff recently bought one and has it modeled with firmware version 10.

They say it sounds stellar. Cliff is using a method he calls MIMIC which actually lets you adjust the controls and have them act just like the amp being modeled ...kind of like the Kemper.

Here is a link to a thread on TGP where they give a couple of samples of the dumble in firmware version 10.

Yer makin' me drool...

I love a good tube-amp, but tools is tools, good tools is good tools, and the most important ingredient in ANY recipe is ALWAYS THE COOK (or, the player, as it were).

Man that clip sounds stellar, better than anything I have ever heard coming from a modeler, the player did some nice guitar work but the modeler is stunning with that Dumble clip.
