Sorry Ed, It may be that I have to retract the spell check Kudo. Our Mod on the Guitar forum suggested there might be no change on your end. Which leads me to believe that my computer/browser has just been updated recently...I'm glad it works on this site anyway...

I dunno, Lar.
Spell check's part of the major increase in typos over the last couple decades (along with the reliance on interns working transcripts on subject's with which they're unfamiliar).
It never catches, for example, the all-too-common mistake of "vocal chords" for "vocal cords", one which I find so infuriating I have actually tracked writers down across continents to murder in their sleep----wait, did I say that ? whistle

The editing fuction's much more valuable; I used it 1/2 dozen times just here.

Perhaps you could have used the edit function on the sentence above.

Apostrophes also indicate eluded letters, as in "function's" = "function is" or "spell check's" = "spell check is", or even "this subject's boring" = "this subject is boring", so as was once said, like, man, what else y' got ?

Hey D, sorry I didn't (') get back to you for the last 90 days or so, but I do not monitor this forum. It also took you a year to comment on my post LOL! I'm glad the spell check is still working on my computer as it saves me looking up words and saves time. I make the same spelling errors over and over again as I have some sort of mental block. I think some words should be spelled the way I want them to be as opposed to the way they really are. I still make errors (both spelling and grammar) but that ain't gonna stop me now, oh no, uh uh! Thanks for getting back to me! Maybe the computer will know what we are thinking some day and pick the right cord or chords... cool

@ Fred, thanks for chiming in on this thread while I was out hibernating! cool
